Experienced Cover Supervisors - Hackney | September 2026 Prospero Teaching is looking for experienced Cover Supervisors to work on a flexible basis across secondary schools in Hackney, starting from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for confident and reliable education professionals looking for flexible work that fits around their availability. The Role As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, focused and well behaved throughout the lesson. Key responsibilities include: Supervising lessons across a range of subjects Managing classroom behaviour confidently and effectively Ensuring students complete the work set by the class teacher Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment Following school policies and safeguarding procedures Providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate The Ideal Candidate We are looking for candidates with: Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor or in a similar secondary school role Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills Confidence working with secondary-aged students Excellent communication and organisational skills A professional, reliable and flexible approach A genuine commitment to supporting students' learning and development What Prospero Teaching Offers £95-£120 per day, depending on experience and role Flexible work to suit your availability Opportunities across Hackney and surrounding areas Regular and ad-hoc cover opportunities Support from a dedicated education recruitment consultant Opportunities to gain experience across a variety of secondary schools Potential for longer-term and permanent opportunities If you're an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for flexible work in Hackney from September, apply today with Prospero Teaching
