Role: Manufacturing Engineer / Machine Shop    Type: Permanent, Full Time Hours: Onsite – 37.5 hours per week Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + Benefits   Location: Leicester    Owen Daniels are supporting a leading manufacturing company, and we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer / Machine Shop to join on a permanent basis, due to growth in the business. Manufacturing Engineer / Machine Shop – Key responsibilities: Work closely with machine shop teams, applying strong knowledge of CNC, manual machining, grinding and other manufacturing processes. Collaborate with design engineers to develop new products and prototypes using Design for Manufacture principles. Use SolidWorks CAD/CAM to design tooling and fixtures while providing technical support to production teams. Identify and implement new machinery, equipment and processes. Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects to improve quality, efficiency and processes while reducing costs.  Manufacturing Engineer / Machine Shop - Essential Skills & Experience: Possesses a high standard of accuracy and strong attention to detail. Ability to manage workload effectively to changing situations under pressure. Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Takes pride in delivering high-quality work, meeting commitments and contributing positively as part of a team.
