Senior Planning Engineer

Senior Planning Engineer Membership of a relevant professional body with Chartered Status and/or educated to degree level. Relevant experience in the management, control planning & delivery of construction and engineering programmes and projects. Detailed knowledge and experience of investment principles, supporting programme and project control disciplines (risk, estimating, planning, change, cost and value management) and supporting technology solutions. Experience of programme and project management techniques including contract management and administration within rail and/or UK construction industry. Excellent communicator to provide insights and analysis to a range of customer and stakeholders. Experience of contract administration and management, financial controls and Lines of Defence. Experienced in the use of data and analytics to fully understand an issue, engage stakeholders and lead the implementation of business-wide change and continuous improvement. Experience of leadership, team and line management to drive performance. Relevant project management qualification. Experience of the rail industry and its regulatory framework, or a similarly regulated industry. Knowledge of the principles of Government investment processes and procedures. Formal qualification in Programme Management, e.g. MSP - Managing Successful Programmes. Accredited NEC4 Project Manager
