Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver Location: Royston, Hertfordshire Salary: £12.90 per hour Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Pay: Weekly pay Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–4:00pm About the Role My client is looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join their team in Royston on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse experience and a counterbalance forklift licence who is looking for a long-term position with a well-established company. The successful candidate will be working within a busy warehouse environment, supporting the day-to-day movement of goods and general warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently. Operating a counterbalance forklift to move materials and stock around the warehouse. Picking and preparing goods for dispatch. Receiving and checking incoming deliveries. Moving and storing stock safely within the warehouse. Loading and unloading vehicles. Carrying out general warehouse duties as required. Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe. Following all company health and safety procedures. Working as part of a team to ensure warehouse operations run smoothly. Requirements Previous warehouse experience is preferred. Valid counterbalance forklift licence required. Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment. Good understanding of workplace health and safety. Reliable, punctual and hardworking. Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role. Good attention to detail. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
