CNC Miller Programmer

CNC Miller Programmer Nottingham (Ruddington) A precision manufacturing business based in Nottingham is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role combining programming expertise with machine operation, where you'll take responsibility for creating and optimising CNC programmes, setting up machines, and delivering precision-engineered components to exacting standards. The position offers £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (up to £19 per hour), working a 39-hour week, Monday to Friday, with morning and afternoon shift flexibility. Key Responsibilities * Programme, set, and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components from engineering drawings. * Create, edit, and optimise CNC programmes. * Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, workholding, and tool offsets. * Carry out precision inspection using verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges. * Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing initiatives and process optimisation. * Maintain high standards of quality, health and safety, and housekeeping. Preferred Qualifications * CAD/CAM programming experience or formal training in CNC programming software. * Familiarity with Hurco, Haas, Mazak, Fanuc, or equivalent machine controls. * Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in manufacturing or mechanical engineering
