Test Equipment Design Support Engineer

Our client, a leading player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Test Equipment Design Support Engineer to join their team in Bolton on a contract basis. This role is a unique opportunity for skilled Electronic Design Engineers to contribute significantly to production activities within state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Key Responsibilities: Act as the interface between design teams and manufacturing teams Work alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and support Focus on advanced module missile programmes and subsystems Support launcher assemblies as required Help shape the design of products and test equipment Deliver support to customers, ensuring their needs are met Provide scope for personal growth and development in electronics Job Requirements: Experience in BAE-Electronics Design Engineering and BAE-Test Engineering Proficiency in Electronics Design, Electronics Test, and Electronics Engineering Degree qualified or equivalent industry experience Proven experience in designing digital and analogue electronics, power electronics, RF & antenna, interconnects, safety electronics, and test systems Proficiency in schematic design, PCB design, and adherence to BS EN standards Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills Ability to write clear and concise engineering documentation Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team Capability to work autonomously and manage discreet work packages Investigative skills to find root causes of design issues and propose corrective actions Benefits: Opportunity to work on advanced programmes within the Defence & Security sector Possibility of contract extension post the initial 6-month period Scope for occasional remote work and compressed work weeks Potential travel to other MBDA sites If you are a skilled Test Equipment Design Support Engineer looking to make a significant impact in the Defence & Security sector, we would love to hear from you.
