M&E Engineer (Gas & Water) - Essex - Council - £450 per day

I'm working with a Client who is looking to bring in an Interim M&E Engineer (Gas & Water) for a Council in Essex on a 12-month contract paying £450 per day. The position will involve supporting gas, heating, hot water and water hygiene compliance across the council's housing stock, including: * Carrying out pre and post inspections, site surveys and quality checks * Monitoring contractor performance, KPIs and completed works * Supporting the supervision of two inspectors * Providing technical guidance and escalating compliance risks where necessary * Reviewing specifications, technical documents and contractor submissions * Ensuring works are delivered in line with gas safety, water hygiene, health & safety and contractual requirements To be considered, you'll need: * ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1 or CKR1) * Experience within gas and water compliance, ideally in social housing or the public sector * A strong background in contractor management, inspections and compliance reporting * Knowledge of Gas Safety Regulations, CDM 2015 and contractor compliance standards * Gas Safe registration (CSCS would be advantageous) * A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle The client is looking to move quickly and is keen to speak with suitable candidates as soon as possible
