Maintenance Technician

We're supporting a growing and innovative production business in their search for a Maintenance Technician to join their site in Ely. This is a hands-on, day shift role, working Monday to Friday, focused on ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of site equipment while supporting continuous improvement across the business. This opportunity would suit a proactive maintenance professional who enjoys fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and being a key part of a busy production environment. Core Duties: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across site equipment and machinery Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to minimise downtime Conducting regular site walk-arounds to identify potential issues and improvement opportunities Taking ownership of maintenance schedules, prioritising workloads, and communicating plans with colleagues Supporting production teams with maintenance-related activities and technical guidance Monitoring spare parts, consumables, and workshop standards Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene requirements across the siteAbout You: Maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment Mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications, or currently working towards them Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively Fabrication skills would be advantageous Positive, approachable, and committed to continuous improvementThis is an urgent requirement and applications will be reviewed at speed.
