Academics are recruiting for a full-time Pastoral Support Worker to join a popular and highly regarded secondary school in Halifax, starting in September. 💙 ABOUT THE ROLE You'll be working closely with secondary-aged students, providing pastoral and emotional support and helping pupils to engage positively with school. The successful candidate will be someone who is: 🧠 Confident supporting young people with mental health and emotional wellbeing 💪 Experienced in managing and responding to challenging behaviour 🤝 Calm, patient and reassuring, even in difficult situations 😊 Positive, approachable and able to build strong relationships 🗣️ A confident communicator who can work effectively with pupils, staff and families ❤️ Passionate about making a genuine difference to young people's lives👩‍🏫 EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL You must have experience working with secondary-aged children, either within a secondary school environment or a similar setting such as youth work, mentoring or other relevant support work. 📅 SEPTEMBER START | FULL-TIME | HALIFAX This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference within a supportive secondary school environment.
