Inspector (PC-DMIS) - Motorsport Contract Opportunity Location: Motorsport Industry Contract: Rolling Contract Start Date: November 2026 Rate: Competitive Contract Rate A prestigious motorsport organisation is seeking an experienced Inspector with PC-DMIS expertise to join its quality team on a contract basis from November. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a world-class engineering environment, supporting the production of precision components used in elite motorsport applications. Responsibilities Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using PC-DMIS software to inspect complex precision-engineered components. Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to verify dimensional conformity. Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections of machined and assembled parts. Record, analyse, and report measurement data, ensuring components meet strict tolerance requirements. Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues. Maintain accurate inspection records and support continuous improvement activities across the department. Requirements Proven experience as an Inspector within a precision engineering, automotive, aerospace, or motorsport environment. Strong working knowledge of PC-DMIS and CMM programming/operation. Excellent understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documentation. High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-paced, high-performance team. Desirable Experience Experience using additional metrology equipment such as height gauges, micrometers, verniers, and surface finish testers. Familiarity with ISO quality standards and controlled documentation processes. Previous experience within a high-performance motorsport or advanced manufacturing environment.
