Estimator – Senior Estimator Adlington Up to £70,000 + Car Allowance of £6K + Benefits Package We are hiring for a Civils; Rail Estimator / Senior Estimator based in the Northwest. Working for a Main Contractor you will be working closely with the Commercial Director and Pre-Construction Team. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission Develop robust, competitive and cost-effective pricing strategies Collaborate with internal teams to define bid-winning approaches and methodologies Prepare detailed estimates using first principles Carry out take-offs from drawings and technical documentation Assess and manage risk and opportunity pricing within tenders Engage with the supply chain to obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations Work closely with Planners and delivery teams to ensure realistic resourcing and programme alignment Present tender proposals to senior management for review and approval Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the estimating function Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate Essential: Proven experience as an Estimator within civil engineering / infrastructure Strong experience in multi-disciplinary projects and/or frameworks Solid understanding of first principles estimating Ability to analyse technical information and translate it into accurate cost plans Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.
