Cover Supervisor

PK Education are working with secondary schools across Sheffield who are looking for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their supply team from September. This is a genuine classroom-based role for somebody who enjoys working with young people and can take control of a class when their usual teacher is unavailable. You’ll work across different subjects and year groups, following the work left by teachers and keeping students focused and on task. The schools we work with have established behaviour systems and supportive staff teams, making this a good option for experienced Cover Supervisors as well as candidates looking to build further experience in secondary education. The role includes: Supervising KS3 and KS4 classes Delivering pre-set work across a range of subjects Managing behaviour and maintaining a productive classroom Supporting students with the work provided Reporting any issues or concerns back to teaching staff We’re looking for: Previous experience working with secondary-aged students Confidence managing a classroom independently Strong communication and behaviour management skills A reliable and professional approach Candidates interested in regular, full-time supply work Location: Sheffield Contract: Full-time, Supply Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing / Academic Year Salary: £100–£120 per day, dependent on experience
