οΈ π¨ We're Hiring: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer π¨ βοΈπ§ π Hertfordshire π· Up to Β£42,000 per annum π Monday β Friday | 8:00am β 5:00pm | Full-Time | Permanent We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to join a leading Facilities Management provider on a site-based position in Hertfordshire. π’ This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer to take responsibility for the planned preventative and reactive maintenance of a wide range of mechanical building services, ensuring critical plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently and reliably. π§ What You'll Be Doing: βοΈ Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services and associated plant. π‘οΈ Maintaining and servicing heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems to agreed service levels. π§ Maintaining evaporative cooling systems and domestic water systems in line with relevant standards and requirements. π© Carrying out maintenance and fault-finding on pumps, motors, valves and associated mechanical equipment. π Diagnosing plant faults and defects and carrying out effective repairs to minimise downtime. π οΈ Supporting maintenance activities across other site-based mechanical plant and equipment as required. π Completing accurate maintenance records, task sheets and associated documentation. π Preparing and following Method Statements and Risk Assessments to ensure safe working practices. π¦Ί Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and site requirements. π€ Building strong working relationships with colleagues, contractors and site personnel. π Maintaining and developing technical knowledge through ongoing training and professional development. π· What We're Looking For: π§ Formally trained or qualified in Mechanical Services Maintenance. βοΈ Proven experience maintaining pumps, motors and valves. π‘οΈ Experience working with cooling towers or evaporative cooling systems. π οΈ Strong practical experience within mechanical maintenance, building services or Facilities Management. π¦Ί Sound understanding of Health & Safety requirements relating to maintenance activities. π Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities. π¬ Good verbal communication skills and strong written English. π€ A customer-focused approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. πͺ Physically capable of carrying tools and components weighing up to 20kg. ποΈ Comfortable working at heights, on roofs and using vertical access equipment. β Desirable Experience: π» Basic knowledge or experience of Building Management Systems (BMS). π Formal Health & Safety training. π§ Relevant certification for the maintenance and operation of evaporative cooling systems. π’ Previous experience working on a client-resident or site-based environment. π A commitment to ongoing technical training and professional development. πΌ What's On Offer: π· Up to Β£42,000 per annum π Monday to Friday | 8:00am β 5:00pm β enjoy a great work-life balance. π Permanent, site-based position in Hertfordshire. π Long-term career progression with a leading Facilities Management organisation. π Ongoing training and professional development opportunities. π§ Opportunity to work across a varied range of mechanical building services and plant. π€ Supportive team environment with opportunities to develop your technical expertise. π Stable, permanent position with excellent long-term career prospects. π§ If you're an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable, site-based role where you can utilise your mechanical expertise across a varied range of building services and plant, we'd love to hear from you
