Maintenance & Automation Technician Location: Sunderland Salary: Up to £38,977.31 + 40% Shift Premium Estimated annual salary including shift allowance up to £54,568.23 Continental Shifts: 06:30–18:30 / 18:30–06:30 Permanent | Full-time The Role We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance & Automation Technician to support a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for keeping automated production equipment running safely and efficiently, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding and supporting continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities * Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic fault-finding * Maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment * PLC, robotics & HMI support * Preventative and reactive maintenance * Installation and optimisation of new equipment * Root-cause analysis and continuous improvement * Working to LOTO, 5S and Safe Systems of Work Essential Experience HNC in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline Time-served electrical apprenticeship Hands-on KUKA and/or ABB robotics experience Strong Siemens TIA Portal experience Certified PLC programming capability Experience with Atlas Copco/Ingersoll Rand tooling Vision system experience To be considered for this position click “apply” and submit a copy of your up to date CV
