Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Lathe Machinist to join a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves producing precision components from plastic and metal, working from technical drawings and specifications. Roles & Responsibilities * Operate manual lathes to manufacture precision components from plastic and metal. * Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and CAD models. * Set and adjust machinery, tooling and workpieces to required specifications. * Carry out grinding, milling and assembly work where required. * Use hand tools, power tools and machining equipment. * Inspect components using verniers, micrometers and other measuring equipment. * Ensure finished components meet required tolerances and quality standards. * Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment. About You * Previous experience operating manual lathes. * Strong understanding of machining principles and engineering drawings. * Experience with grinding, milling and assembly. * Good mechanical and problem-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * CAD/SolidWorks experience would be advantageous. Salary & Hours £16.50 – £19.50 per hour Mon - Fri 8am - 4:30pm Benefits: Company pension, company events, employee discount, canteen and free/on-site parking.
