Import/Export Coordinator

My client is seeking an experienced Export Coordinator (Import experience will be an advantage but not essential) who will be responsible for managing and executing all activities related to international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and company procedures. This role coordinates the movement of goods across borders, maintains documentation accuracy, and collaborates with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost effective delivery. Health & safety notes: Full Time Monday – Thursday 09:00 – 17:00 Fridays 09:00 – 15:00 Salary between £28,000 - £33,000 Duties Include: • Arrange and monitor international shipments (imports and exports) via air, sea, road, or courier. • Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, and suppliers to schedule and track shipments. • Resolve transportation issues, and documentation discrepancies. • Prepare and review import/export documentation such as: o Commercial invoices o Certificates of origin o Bills of lading o Export declarations • Ensure full compliance with customs requirements, Incoterms, trade agreements, and international regulations. • Stay updated on changes in import/export regulations, restrictions, and tariffs. • Update shipment statuses and delivery timelines in internal systems. • Reconcile shipping documents with purchase orders and inventory receipts. • Assist with cost tracking, freight invoicing, and financial reporting. • Provide customers with shipping updates and required documentation. • Booking stock in on sage Experience required: • Experience in import/export, logistics, supply chain or freight forwarding. • Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, and customs regulations. • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word) and logistics/ERP systems. ________________________________________ Competencies • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously. • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
