Retrofit Tutor

Retrofit Tutor Location: East Midlands – Nottingham/Derby Day Rate: £200 per day 2 days per week Contract: Freelance to start on 21/9/26 for 12 months Please apply before the start date for this role 8.30 am to 4.30 pm About the Role: We are looking for a tutor to deliver retrofit courses to predominantly employed and self-employed electricians. This is classroom delivery in Nottingham and Derbyshire – mileage paid Key Responsibilities * to undertake a thorough initial assessment with learners and agree an individual learning plan that meets their needs, is SMART and progresses them to their goals. * To design and deliver engaging lessons that provide differentiation, meet the needs of all learners in the groups, achieve good learning outcomes and are of good quality * Submit portfolios in a timely manner for interim and summative verification and work with the IV to ensure quality improvement. * To be responsible for learner attendance, carrying out all internal processes and ensuring targets are achieved. * To plan delivery and assessment in a thorough scheme of work and achieve timely success targets. * To ensure all assessment paperwork and records are completed accurately. * Timely completion of assessment and documentation to meet awarding body, audit, and organisational requirements. * Monitor learner attendance and punctuality patterns and applying interventions where appropriate, escalating issues to Line Manager * Identifying any risks surrounding learner completion/retention/success and putting together additional support and IAG to overcome barriers for learners. Criteria * Level 4 in Retrofit and/or experience of delivery/assessment/IQA of qualification and/or work experience in the retrofit assessment * Teaching qualification and at least Level 3 Assessor qualification * Must be a car owner
