Class 1 Trampers – Day & Night Shifts 📍 Location: Shiremoor, Newcastle upon Tyne (NE27 0QE) 💷 Pay: £13.79 per hour + £22 night-out allowance 💷 Saturday & Sunday: £14.62 per hour 🌙 Nights out required We are looking for experienced Class 1 Trampers to join our client’s established transport operation in Shiremoor, Newcastle upon Tyne. We have opportunities available for both day-shift and night-shift Class 1 Trampers, with nights out required. This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and professional HGV drivers looking for ongoing work with competitive rates. ✅ What We Offer a Class 1 Tramper: • £13.79 per hour for weekday shifts (Days & Nights) • £22.00 night-out allowance • £14.62 per hour for Saturday & Sunday work • Day and night shift opportunities available • Regular ongoing work • Nights out required • Established and professional transport operation • Immediate opportunities available 🔑 Key Responsibilities for a Class 1 Tramper: • Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle in accordance with all relevant regulations • Complete deliveries and collections safely and efficiently • Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects • Complete all required delivery paperwork accurately • Ensure goods are transported securely and safely • Comply with drivers’ hours, working time and transport regulations • Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers and other road users • Carry out nights out as required 🎯 Experience & Qualifications Needed for a Class 1 Tramper: • Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence • Valid CPC and Digi Tacho Card • Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred • Previous tramping/nights-out experience desirable • Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time Regulations • No more than 6 points on licence • Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach • Excellent timekeeping and communication skills Both day-shift and night-shift positions are available, with nights out required.
