Laboratory Technician

Talentmark are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a leading global food company on a contract basis for 2 months initially. This is a fully site-based role in Manchester. Salary: £12.96 per hour PAYE Laboratory Technician Role: Complete routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety quality and operational teams. Run calibration checks, preventive maintenance tasks, and simple repair to analytical instrumentation, maintaining customer specifications books up-to-date. Interpret and document results of tests into active databases and communicate results to internal customers as required. Conduct routine quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process and final products independently, supporting more complex trials and experiments under intermediate supervision. Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.Your Background: Hold a relevant Scientific qualification or equivalent working experience Any experience working in a Laboratory would be an advantage. Ability to read, write and interpret documents including operating procedures, etc.  Write routine reports and correspondence.
