Title: Electrical Contracts Manager (Critical Infrastructure) Location: Berkshire Salary: £85k - £90k Benefits: Car Allowance, Travel Expenses, Private Medical Insurance & more Start Date: October 2026 Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Opportunity We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Principal Contractor known for delivering high-specification engineering, construction, and maintenance projects across the UK. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager with a strong Electrical background to oversee critical infrastructure projects across London and the surrounding regions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex upgrade initiatives within data centre and mission-critical environments. Key Responsibilities * Oversee and manage electrical-focused critical infrastructure upgrade projects from award through to successful completion. * Drive project delivery across key systems, including Switchgear, UPS, and Generator systems. * Act as the primary client interface, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to stringent quality and safety standards. * Serve in a Principal Contractor capacity, managing site teams, subcontractors, health & safety, compliance, and commercial management. * Manage multi-site operations and project logistics across London and outlying regions. Preferred Requirements & Qualifications * Background: Proven track record as a Contracts Manager within the engineering or building services sector, with a primary focus on Electrical discipline. * Technical Expertise: Hands-on expertise and deep knowledge of Critical Infrastructure and Data Centre (DC) environments. * System Knowledge: Demonstrable experience delivering upgrades on Switchgear, UPS, and Generator systems. * Principal Contractor Experience: Solid understanding of Principal Contractor responsibilities, CDM regulations, health & safety standards, and commercial oversight. * Flexibility: Ability to cover projects across London and the surrounding areas
