Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with proven experience in delivering complex projects involving High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of HVDC delivery projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. You will manage project scope, risks, and changes while maintaining compliance with relevant technical, safety, and regulatory standards. The role demands excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring seamless project execution and successful delivery of HVDC infrastructure. Skills Extensive experience in HVDC delivery and project management Strong leadership and team management capabilities Risk, cost, schedule, and change control expertise Stakeholder and contractor management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in project planning and scheduling Financial management and budget control Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to HVDC projects Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments Problem-solving and decision-making skills Software/Tools Microsoft Project / Primavera P6 Project management software (e.g., MS Office Suite) Risk and financial management tools Certifications & Standards Recognised project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP) Working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
