Senior AI Developer Reading Hybrid £85k We're seeking an experienced software engineer to design and deliver AI-powered applications using modern development frameworks, cloud technologies, and large language models. You'll work on customer-facing projects, developing scalable, production-ready solutions while helping establish best practices for AI engineering across the wider development team. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy AI-enabled software solutions. Develop applications using technologies such as .NET, Python, React, or Node.js. Integrate cloud-based AI services and large language models into production systems. Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical technical solutions. Define technical standards, reusable components, and development best practices. Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend improvements to engineering processes. Mentor developers and contribute to the growth of AI capability within the team. Skills and Experience Essential Strong commercial experience in full stack software development. Proficiency in one or more of .NET/C#, Python, React, or Node.js. Experience delivering production software in customer or enterprise environments. Practical knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, or AI application development. Experience with Microsoft Azure and CI/CD practices. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools. Strong software engineering, communication, and problem-solving skills.Desirable Experience with AI agents, vector databases, or AI evaluation techniques. Azure certification or equivalent experience. Previous technical leadership or mentoring experience. Experience working in consulting or professional services. Interested?
