Senior Manager – Job Specification Location: South of Cornwall Salary: Competitive + Benefits Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Manager to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice South of Cornwall. This role is suited to an ambitious professional looking to take on a key leadership position within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, overseeing a varied portfolio, supporting the development of junior staff, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice. Key Responsibilities Managing a diverse portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax returns Providing business advisory and strategic support to clients Leading and mentoring junior and senior members of the team Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships Supporting business development activities and identifying growth opportunities Ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations Liaising with HMRC and other professional bodies where required Managing workflow, deadlines, and team performance effectively Assisting Partners with operational and strategic initiatives Candidate Requirements ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent) Significant experience within accountancy practice Strong technical knowledge across accounts and taxation Proven experience managing client portfolios Excellent leadership and people management skills Commercially aware with strong problem-solving ability Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Experience reviewing work and developing junior staff Desirable Experience Business advisory exposure Practice development or business development involvement Experience working with cloud-based accounting software including Xero and QuickBooks What’s on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Clear progression opportunities Supportive and collaborative working environment Flexible working options Ongoing professional development Opportunity to play a key role within a growing firm #ASRAF
