Machine Operative – Rubber Flooring Manufacturer * We are recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturer of rubber flooring and matting products supplying commercial and industrial customers. * This is a straightforward, hands-on role producing one mat at a time until each order is fully completed. The Role * You will begin by inputting the required lengths and sizes into an automated cutting machine. Once set up, you will load a roll of rubber onto the feeder system by removing locking nuts and sliding the support tube through the centre of the roll to secure it in place. * It is a two man lift so a second person is used to assist with safe handling and positioning where required. * After loading, you will carefully position the material and ensure it is feeding squarely into the machine. Accuracy is essential to avoid misalignment and waste. * Once set up is complete, you will press the control button to produce a sample run, checking alignment and confirming the machine is running correctly before full production begins. * Throughout production, you will monitor the feed to ensure the rubber runs straight and square, maintaining consistent quality and accuracy. * Once all mats for the order have been produced, you will transfer them to a rolling and banding machine, which rolls and bands the mats to complete the finished product. * This stage involves manual handling, and for larger mats you will be required to hand roll them. This is a physical part of the role and requires a reasonable level of strength and stamina. About You * Comfortable with manual, hands-on work * Able to follow simple production processes * Good attention to detail * Physically capable of manual handling tasks Hours * 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
