JRS Associates have partnered with an established manufacturing business to recruit an experienced HSE Manager to lead the company's Health, Safety, Environmental & Facilities function. This is a senior leadership position focused on driving a proactive "Safety First" culture, ensuring full legal compliance, maintaining statutory site compliance, and embedding robust HSE management systems across a high-risk manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in shaping the company's HSE strategy, facilities management and overall compliance performance. The Successful HSE Manager - Package: * £60,000 per annum * Senior leadership opportunity reporting directly to the Managing Director * Long-term, stable opportunity within a specialist manufacturing environment * Opportunity to lead and shape the company's HSE strategy, facilities management and compliance function * Highly autonomous role with real influence across the business * Excellent progression and long-term career development opportunities The Successful HSE Manager - Requirements: * Minimum 3–5 years' experience within an HSE role in a manufacturing or chemical environment * NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma (essential) * Strong understanding of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation * Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems * Proven experience leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions * Experience with COSHH, DSEAR, Permit to Work systems and contractor management * Strong understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change (MoC) and HAZOPs within a high-risk manufacturing environment * Experience leading internal and external audits, regulatory inspections and compliance activities * Strong knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous waste regulations and environmental compliance * Experience managing environmental permits, Environment Agency compliance, water treatment or effluent treatment systems would be highly advantageous * Demonstrable facilities management experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment * Experience managing statutory building compliance, including fire systems, emergency lighting, legionella, asbestos, electrical compliance and contractor management * Experience managing facilities contractors, service providers and site compliance programmes * Ability to drive behavioural safety initiatives and embed a positive "Safety First" culture across the business * Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels * Strong reporting, governance and compliance management experience Apply now!
