Maintenance Engineers

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: Birmingham Salary: £50,000 per year + overtime Hours: shift basis The Role We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our West midlands site on a permanent, full-time basis. The role focuses on maintaining, fault finding, and improving a wide range of production and plant equipment. Key Responsibilities * Fault finding, servicing, and maintenance of: * Production machinery and control systems * PLC and computer-controlled systems * Plant services and electrical distribution systems * Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance on: * Process systems * Safety systems * Electrical distribution * Testing electrical installations using appropriate test and measurement equipment * Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics * Supporting and delivering small electrical projects from concept through to commissioning Project Work Includes * Designing simple electrical control systems * Producing electrical drawings * Ordering components and materials * Building and installing control systems * Commissioning new or modified equipment Skills and Experience Required * Recognised electrical qualification (Apprenticeship, BTEC, C&G, or NVQ Level 3) * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Experience with production plant systems, including: * PLCs * VSDs and soft starters * Weighing equipment * Sensors and process control systems * Experience with scheduled and preventative maintenance * Confident working from electrical drawings and schematics Desirable Experience * PLC programming and software experience, particularly Mitsubishi or Siemens * Multi-skilled background with mechanical and pneumatic experience * Inspection and testing qualifications * Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry
