Job Title: English Teacher (KS5) Location: Newcastle Start Date: September Contract: Full-time (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm), Temporary until Christmas with potential to become permanent Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a Secondary School in Newcastle this September. This is a full-time position running until the Christmas break, with a strong possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons to Key Stage 5 learners * Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements * Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners * Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment * Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support where needed * Contribute to the wider college community and uphold high educational standards Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a degree in English * Proven experience teaching English at KS5 level * Strong classroom and behaviour management skills * Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging, and well-structured lessons * Commitment to supporting student achievement and progression What We Offer: * Full-time, consistent working hours (8:30am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday) * Supportive and collaborative working environment * Opportunity to secure a permanent position If you are an enthusiastic English specialist looking for your next opportunity in Secondary, we would love to hear from you.
