Mechanical Construction Manager – Amsterdam, Netherlands €85,000 - €90,000 + Rotation + Accommodation + Travel + €1200 Living Allowance Sector: Hyperscale Data Centres Type: Full-Time | On-Site Start: ASAP A market-leading European data centre delivery specialist is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a flagship hyperscale project in Amsterdam. This contractor is recognised across Europe for delivering complex, large-scale mission-critical facilities and currently has multiple major data centre builds live across several countries. This is a senior site-based role with full responsibility for mechanical construction delivery, offering strong long-term career progression within a business that continues to grow year on year. You will take ownership of mechanical site delivery, managing subcontractors, programme, quality, safety, and commercial performance. Working closely with project leadership, engineering, QA/QC, and planning teams, you will ensure mechanical works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities * Lead mechanical construction delivery across HVAC, pipework, and plant systems * Manage client and stakeholder communications relating to mechanical works * Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments * Sequence installation works in line with the master programme and short-term lookaheads * Manage subcontractors, labour levels, and productivity on site * Oversee quality control and ensure works meet specification and design intent * Coordinate procurement, deliveries, storage, and materials management * Manage variations, delays, and change control (cost & programme) * Support commercial management, valuations, and final account preparation * Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping across site * Drive continuous improvement in site processes and working methods * Ensure accurate reporting of progress, risks, and constraints to project leadership Requirements * Mechanical qualification (Degree, HNC/HND, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent) * Proven experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager or similar role * Background in M&E contracting on large-scale projects * Data centre experience highly advantageous (pharma or industrial also considered) * Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills * Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities * Strong understanding of construction sequencing, quality, and safety systems What’s on Offer * Competitive salary and full expat-style package * Accommodation, travel, and living allowance provided * Rotation available (project dependent) * Work on major hyperscale data centre projects * Long-term career progression within a high-growth contractor * Collaborative, high-performance project environment
