Production Manager

Production Manager - Manufacturing Operations Echelon Engineers is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing processes across fabrication and assembly operations. The Role: You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure on-time delivery, quality standards, and efficiency targets are achieved while maintaining safety standards. Key Responsibilities: * Follow and execute contract requirements in line with Master Production Schedules * Instruct production supervisors and employees to ensure optimum workforce planning * Minimise production constraints through effective scheduling of resources and deployment * Generate and release Production Works Orders using MRP and CRP systems * Coordinate with stores teams to collate scheduled work into component kits and sub-assemblies * Work with purchasing departments to progress orders and ensure on-time delivery * Manage shop floor data capture systems and ensure accurate time booking to contracts * Approve overtime and collation of additional working hours * Ensure works orders are completed with accurate labour booking and material allocation * Conduct quality inspections and resolve manufacturing non-conformances * Generate and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for manufacturing processes * Lead production meetings focusing on delivery performance * Create a culture of continuous improvement and team collaboration Requirements: * Proven experience in production management within manufacturing * Strong knowledge of MRP and CRP systems * Excellent scheduling and planning capabilities * Leadership experience with production teams * Ability to work under pressure while maintaining safety standards * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail What's on Offer: * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunity to make significant impact in dynamic manufacturing environment * Reports to Operations Director * Internal collaboration with sales, projects, engineering and design teams * External liaison with suppliers and customers For more information about this role, please contact Echelon Engineers or apply asap to avoid missing out
