Manton Heights Abi unit are looking for a caring, compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our Rehabilitation Unit. You will work as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with their recovery, rehabilitation and return to greater independence. You will provide person-centred care and practical support to patients with a range of physical, neurological or other rehabilitation needs. The role is rewarding and varied, with the opportunity to make a positive difference to patients during an important stage of their recovery. Key Responsibilities * Provide compassionate, respectful and person-centred support to patients. * Assist patients with personal care, mobility and daily living activities. * Encourage patients to participate in rehabilitation programmes and activities. * Support patients to develop and maintain their independence. * Observe and report changes in patients' physical or emotional wellbeing. * Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided. * Work closely with nurses, therapists, doctors and other members of the multidisciplinary team. * Promote dignity, privacy, choice and equality at all times. * Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety and other relevant policies. * Provide reassurance and emotional support to patients and their families. About You We are looking for someone who is: * Caring, patient and compassionate. * Reliable, responsible and able to work as part of a team. * A good communicator with a positive attitude. * Respectful of patients' individual needs, choices and dignity. * Comfortable supporting people with mobility and personal care needs. * Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. * Willing to learn and develop their skills within a rehabilitation setting. Previous experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation or care environment is desirable, although full training may be provided for the right candidate.
